WET MEDIA
Wet media are the mediums that use liquids, most often water, to carry or bind pigment. They are applied wet and include, but are not limited to, watercolor, gouache, oil, acrylic, and ink.
ILLUSTRATION
An illustration is a decoration, interpretation or visual explanation of a text, concept or process, designed for integration in published media, such as posters, flyers, magazines, books, teaching materials, animations, video games and films.
DRY MEDIA
Dry media, as opposite to wet media, are applied dry and don't flow. Such are charcoal, pastel, graphite, scratch board, and others.
GRAPHIC ART
A category of fine art, graphic art covers a broad range of visual artistic expression, typically two-dimensional, i.e. produced on a flat surface. The term usually refers to the arts that rely more on line or tone than on color, especially drawing.
LOGO
Also called logotype, a graphic representation or symbol of a company name, trademark, abbreviation, etc., often uniquely designed for ready recognition.
MURAL
A mural is any piece of artwork painted or applied directly on a wall, ceiling or other architectural surface.
